Alex Smailes is a world class photographer. He started out specialising in coverage of conflicts and social issues, with clients such as Oxfam and Benetton. He has moved into fashion and commercial photography, and has also published a book on the island of Trinidad where he has established a successful design studio.
We are delighted to be collaborating with Alex on the pilot project for our Portfolio Builder. We will be working to create a content managed portfolio site to showcase his work. Our approach will be generic, resulting in software that can then be used by other photographers to generate their own sites. Collaborating with real-world experts in this way helps us build quality into our products. Alex’s invaluable experience in both the field and the studio will help us design a Portfolio Builder that is intuitive with functionality that photographers and artists really need.
